Invitation

The Ministry of National Resources, the National Talent Programme and the Hungarian Genius Integrated Talent Support Programme as Organisers have the honour to invite you and your colleagues to participate in the Hungarian EU Presidential Conference on Talent Support and First European TalentDay. The main Patrons of the conference: Dr Rózsa Hoffmann, Secretary of State for Education and Prof József Pálinkás, President of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. The main sponsor of the conference is MOL.

The aim of the international conference is to initiate professional exchange of ideas, important co-operations regarding talent support and to draw attention to the unexploited capacities of promoting giftedness.

The First European TalentDay is part of the conference, when we initiate the simultaneous organisation of talent festivals in several EU Member states. (Several EU member states have already shown active interest in the programme, e.g. England, Romania, Germany, Poland).
More information about the programme of the TalentDay: www.talentday.eu

We believe that every child is talented in some ways, therefore supporting young talents contributes to increasing social mobility and cohesion, to encouraging and disseminating innovation and creativity, and also serves the goals of economic growth and thus can also contribute considerably to achieving the objectives of the Europe 2020 strategy. The topics of the conference are closely linked to the European Year of Volunteering 2011, also.
Hungarian priority of talent support is exemplified by the 20-year long National Talent Support Programme adopted by the Hungarian Parliament in 2008, along established policy guidelines and objectives laid down in the National Talent Program.
The Organisers of the Hungarian EU Presidential Conference on Talent Support and First European TalentDay would like to invite experts, decision makers and civil servants from ministries of different EU member states dealing with talent support. Leaders and delegates of the civil sphere from member states working in the field of talent support are also very welcome.

English and Hungarian interpretation will be provided during the conference.
